Digital accessibility
Accessibility
The portal is designed around WCAG 2.2 Level AA requirements, with semantic content, keyboard navigation and an interface that adapts to different devices.
Portal accessibility features
- Semantic HTML5 structure and a consistent heading hierarchy.
- Complete keyboard navigation, visible focus and a skip-to-content link.
- Verifiable colour contrast and content that supports zoom and reflow.
- Explicit labels for controls and filters, understandable messages and updates announced to assistive technology.
- Page language and language changes identified in the markup.
- Progressive enhancement: the catalogue remains available without JavaScript.
Accessibility checks
The portal is checked through automated and manual reviews covering keyboard use, focus, zoom, contrast, content structure and assistive technologies.
User reports help identify and remove barriers in the portal and in journeys towards linked external services.
Report an accessibility problem
Use the University of Macerata's official accessibility feedback form to report a digital barrier.
A useful report includes the page address, the task that cannot be completed, browser, operating system and assistive technology, while avoiding unnecessary personal data.
Accessibility statement
Institutional accessibility information and links to the statement are available in the accessibility section of the UniMC website.
